The Maxus eDeliver 9 weighs in at a floating 3.5 tonnes which is almost a tonne lighter than direct competitors. And it does so without compromising space and utility. The used eDeliver 9 manages an impressive 1200kg maximum payload with the smallest 52kWh battery version. Upgrading to the 72kWh battery reduces that by 160kg, and vans fitted with the largest 89kWh battery can carry 860kg. There are two wheelbase lengths — a 3366mm and a 3760mm. The 89kWh battery is only available on the longer version. Total vehicle length is 5546mm or 5940mm, providing a total usable loadspace length of 3019mm or 3413mm. There is just one roof height (2525mm), providing a loadspace height of 1792mm.
Total load volumes differ from 9.7m3 to 11m3 and all versions get a single sliding side door and have bright LED lighting, 8 tie down points and a non-slip protective floor covering. The range for the eDeliver 9 starts at a pretty competitive 112 miles for the 51.5kWh battery, the 72kWh version has a 146-mile range with the 88.55kWh version going 185-miles — which is second only to the Ford E-Transit’s.
The eDeliver 9 not only competes with but out does the competition with its range of three batteries, with 52kWh, 72kWh and 89kWh packs. The eDeliver 9’s electric motor develops 201bhp and 229lb ft of peak torque which is considerably more than the competition and it handles pretty well for a large van too.
Like in most modern vans, the used Maxus eDeliver 9 has a large 10” infotainment touchscreen which dominates the dash, and there’s plenty of slick black plastic and chrome-effect trim on display giving a lovely modern finish. There’s plenty of scope to get comfortable with the 8-way adjustable drivers seat letting you set it whichever way you like. Smart air conditioning and organised space design ensure a pleasant and effective work environment. The Maxus eDeliver 9 does have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and both systems work flawlessly.
