Maxus officially claims it will run for up to 150 miles on a single charge, it’s quite enough for urban deliveries, and is more affordable, better equipped and better warrantied than its established mainstream brand battery-powered rivals.

The used Maxus eDeliver 3 is shoehorned between traditional small van sizes and medium van sizes. That’s because of it’s rather odd, yet sensible wheelbase length of 2910mm. What this achieves is a heft 2180mm loadspace length, 1665m loadspace width, 1330mm loadspace height and a total volume of 4.8m2. Maximum payload in the eDeliver 3 is 865kg in the 35kWh model and 905kg in the 52.5kWh version. Your used Maxus eDeliver 3 has a single sliding side door as well as double rear doors. The cargo area floor is non-slip and there are six lashing point rings for securing items.
The used Maxus eDeliver 3 comes with a five-year or 60,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) plus a separate policy covering the batteries for eight years or 100,000 miles. Both help significantly with running costs and if you run into any unwanted issues. In terms of charging speed, the eDeliver 3 is limited to rates of up to 50kW but has rapid charging capabilities which can take you to 80% charge in just 45 minutes.
In a used Maxus eDeliver 3 you’ll go from rest to 62mph in a very modest 11 or 12 seconds — depending on which variant you choose — and you’ll go on to a top speed of 75mph. While you may think that a slender number, all variants have a pulling power of 255Nm giving plenty of mid-range grunt should you need to dart into a gap in traffic. You get a choice of electric powertrains — a smaller 35kWh packer or a larger 50.23kWh battery pack.
You’ll want to know how far each will get you. The standard 35kWh variant has a maximum WLTP range of 99 miles (or 141 miles if most of your driving is city based). The larger 50.23Kwh battery ups the range to 151 miles (or 213 miles in the city). The range prediction on the eDeliver 3 is exceptionally accurate and unfazed by motorway speeds or fast driving on B-roads.
Inside the cabin of your used Maxus eDeliver 3 you’re greeted with a fine blend of durable plastics. This is a commercial vehicle after all, you’ll need those heavy-duty materials to withstand the trials of a busy work day. You’ll notice there is no gear stick and how that exclusion frees up a sizeable amount of space up-front. What’s also nice is the touch screen sat in the centre of the dash is a standard option.
In fact, everything in the pre-production model's cabin - the excellent sporty seats, arm rests, air conditioning, sat nav, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB & Bluetooth connectivity, storage, cup holders & more come as standard. Trim levels don't exist in the eDeliver 3 - you get it all no matter which battery size you choose.
