From the moment I first went to have a look, with no real thought of purchasing, to the day I drove my new car out, I felt well cared for, listened to, informed

The new Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid has won the best overall plug-in hybrid car upon its debut at the 2011 RAC Future car challenge.
The Toyota car took part in the challenge on November 5th, covering a 60 mile route from Brighton to London. It was the first time the new Toyota Prius could be seen on British roads and has made an impressive start to its life, with an average fuel consumption of 94.2mpg.
The Prius Plug-in Hybrid is designed to give the driver optimum fuel efficiency with low emmisions whilst still offering an uncompromised driving range. The rechargeable battery life is very impressive, taking just one and a half hours to charge, and fully charged the hybrid offers power that will last for 14 miles before the 1.8 litre petrol engine kicks in seamlessly. Drivers will be impressed as they won’t have the usual worry associated with electric cars.
Toyota also gave their FCHV-adv fuel cell vehicle a run out and incredibly this car only emits water from its power system. Unfortunately though there is still a bit of a wait until you find this vehicle at car dealers in Northern Ireland, as the manufacturer isn't expected to bring this fantastic new technology to the market until 2015.
The new Prius Plug-in Hybrid is expected to reach Shelbourne Toyota car dealers in Northern Ireland next year.
