Returning for a third year 'Our Back Yard' is quietly becoming the new face on the local festival circuit in Northern Ireland. Festival organisers kicked off the launch of the Festival with the unveiling of their new official event car sponsored by Shelbourne Motors Portadown.
Our Back Yard is an independent festival celebrating music and culture held at 67 Plantation Road, just outside Craigavon. This year’s event takes place on Saturday 1st July 2017. Organisers have been busy planning this year’s festival, which is set to be another huge success that sees heavy emphasis on sourcing local musicians as well as support from local businesses. This year’s marquee acts include The Bonnevilles, The Emerald Armada, Gascan Ruckus and Petty Youth with a multitude of other diverse acts throughout the day.
The event was the brainchild of Sarah Champ, who, in the summer of 2014, realised a long-held ambition of hosting an open-air concert on her own property.
Festival Organiser Sarah Champ said "Northern Ireland is a jewel made up of so much talent. I count myself very lucky to have a patient partner Joe and the most professional team Ryan and Jenny who make this event happen. Our Back Yard cannot thank Shelbourne Motors and local businesses enough for all their support and encouragement. We look forward to welcoming festival goers on sat 1st July "
Event organisers have taken delivery of an All-New Nissan Micra which will help promote the festival throughout county Armagh and further afield.
