The Renault ZOE has scooped yet another award in the small electric car category at What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2021. With the small EV sector steadily growing, the all-electric New ZOE has been famed for its affordability and everyday use.
The ZOE which has zero-emission while in use has been famed for it’s value. Steve Huntingford from What Car? has praised it as ‘one of the cheapest electric cars you can buy.’ Having previously won ‘Best Small Electric Car’ for seven consecutive years, the ZOE is building up a steady stream of accolades.
Managing Director of Groupe Renault UK, Vincent Tourette spoke of his delight to accept the accolade after rapid growth of the small electric car sector. Aiming to provide affordable and sustainable motoring for their customers, Renault often aim to overcome hurdles such as cost and practicality when drivers wish to make the switch to an electric vehicle.
What Car? noted the Renault ZOE Iconic’s value boasting a R110 motor and 52kWh battery with the option of 50kW rapid charging which can be charged in just over an hour to 80 per cent. Connectivity is at your finger tips across the ZOE range which include a 10-inch TFT Driver Information Display complemented by seven-inch EASY LINK infotainment display with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As well as this, additional features such as rear parking sensors, automatic climate control and satellite navigation make this the must have in small electric vehicle category.
The range starts from just £28,495 on-the-road after the Plug-in Car Grant (PiCG), ZOE iconic retail customers also benefit from £500 towards a 7kW wallbox, installed by BP making charging even more convenient.
