The New Renault ZOE has bagged more awards this year at the annual Driving Electric Awards. New ZOE was awarded Car of the Year and Best Small Electric Car by Driving Electric, a publication dedicated to Electric Vehicles (EVs), impressing judges with its long range, improved quality and its performance.

Commenting on New ZOE’s double win, Vicky Parrott, Associate Editor at Driving Electric said, "The ZOE has always been affordable, but the real joy of the New ZOE is that it has all the comforts – particularly the range and equipment – of a big electric car, in an affordable and compact package. Even with the influx of new rivals, it deserves to remain one of the most popular electric cars in the UK."

Vincent Tourette, Managing Director of Groupe Renault UK said: “We are thrilled that New ZOE has been named Driving Electric’s overall Car of the Year, it truly is testament to Renault’s efforts to consistently improve the ZE range whilst maintaining an affordable price, in a bid to make 100% electric mobility attainable.”

New ZOE has evolved in quality and technology, with a completely restyled exterior featuring standard LED headlamps. There’s also a fresh dashboard design, with customisable 10-inch TFT instrument cluster and the option of Renault’s EASY LINK 9.3-inch portrait style infotainment screen. Wireless smartphone charging is also available, while all versions get a comprehensive suite of safety systems, including an Active Emergency Braking System (AEBS) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).

The free home wallbox charger allows owners to recharge their ZOE overnight with minimal effort. Capable of running up to 245 miles (WLTP) on a single charge, New ZOE’s range is better than ever. Using a new 52kWh battery and available with optional 50kW DC fast charging, 90 miles of range can be restored in just 30 minutes.

There is a choice of R135 100 kW or R110 80 kW motors, which both feature a smooth, single-speed automatic transmission with new B-mode function that intensifies the regenerative braking effect to deliver true one pedal driving characteristics.

Play, Iconic and GT-Line trim levels are all available, with prices starting at £25,670 on the road after the Plug In Car Grant (£3,500).
