Toyota gave visitors to the 2011 Tokyo Motor show a glimpse in to the future with their Fun-Vii concept car.

The Fun-Vii stands for Fun-Vehicle interactive internet, and is being labelled as the automotive equivalent to a smart phone. Toyotas new Concept car allows the driver to choose whatever colour or even content they would like to be displayed on the exterior and interior of the car, in the same way that you can change the background on your smartphone. The look of the car can be changed to feature different photos and messages.

As well as all the fun and interactive features available, the car is able to link with the surrounding driving environment and detect any potential hazards in advance. You can even connect with friends driving close to your location.
What’s more the Fun-Vii features network updates which allow you to update all manner of aspects on the cars performance including the control and multimedia software, and it will be as easy as downloading an app on to your multimedia device.
Whether or not this futuristic Toyota car will ever be made is still unclear, but the idea of it certainly excites us here at Shelbourne Motors, one of the leading Toyota dealers in Northern Ireland.
