Insurance includes cover in respect of death or bodily injury to the third party or the property of the third party. Shelbourne Rental Insurance, when taken, also includes damage to the rental vehicle with agreed minimum excess payable by the hirer. Please check this excess at the time of booking. The hirer remains responsible for negligent damage such as kerbed wheels or tyres, interior damage and glass damage. Only the renter or additional driver approved by Shelbourne Rental at the time of renting may drive the vehicle.
Minimum charge is for one rental day, which is 24-hours from commencement of the rental. Another day's rental is chargeable at the expiry of each 24-hour rental unless special arrangements have been pre-agreed before the expiry of the first 24-hour rental.
This is not included in the rates. The vehicle will be supplied with full fuel and you should return it full or elect to purchase the tank of fuel when you rent the vehicle. An additional charge will be made if the fuel tank is not full when the vehicle is returned.
Shelbourne Rental offers free mileage for normal usage but reserves the right to make an additional charge for high mileage hires over 150 miles per day for cars and buses, 200 miles per day for vans. Excess mileage charges apply.
Vehicles are covered by out 24 hour breakdown service. Details are provided at the time of hiring.
Vehicles may not leave mainland Britain without permission of Shelbourne Rental. A surcharge and a charge for additional insurance cover would be payable.
For our insurance you must be at least 21 for a small/medium sized car, 25 for a large car/commercial van and 25 to drive our minibuses & 7 seat vehicles. If you can provide your own fully comprehensive insurance then age will not be a factor.
An operator's licence is required legally before your drive a 7.5 tonne vehicle (or heavier) on business.
No smoking is permitted in any of Shelbourne Rental vehicles.
