 Clio RenaultSport

Featuring a new, more aggressive design, increased power and a wide choice of personalisation, Clio Renaultsport 200 takes the Renaultsport favourite to the next level

Building on the existing qualities of Clio Renaultsport 197, the latest Renaultsport version of the brand's best-selling model resumes its status as the most popular hot hatch in its class and the benchmark by which all others are judged. The impressive new look incorporates F1-style frontal aerodynamics to improve performance both on the road and on the track while the rear diffuser, normally only found on high-end sporting cars, sucks the chassis to the ground, reaffirming its racing pedigree.

Under the bonnet, Clio 200 is powered by the latest-specification normally-aspirated 2.0 16V engine delivering an extremely high level of performance for the hot hatch segment. Peak power has been increased by 3hp while the low-end torque has been boosted by an impressive 20 per cent. First, second and third gear ratios have all been shortened for punchier acceleration delivered through a manual six-speed gearbox and powering the Clio 200 from standstill to 62mph in just 6.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 141mph. Despite this, both its fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced, returning 34.4mpg in the combined cycle.

The Clio Renaultsport 200 range is also once again offered in two distinct versions: Clio Renaultsport 200 Cup – for enthusiastic drivers who are passionate about their driving, and Clio Renaultsport 200 – for those seeking a well-equipped performance car yet still with the option of the Cup chassis.

To meet customer demand even more closely, the Renault i.d. range of personalisation offers customers a wide choice of customisable options including the addition of three new exterior colours in the form of Alien Green, Mercury and Pearlescent Liquid Yellow. In addition to the exterior, the interior can also be tailored with a new range of finishes and upholsteries with other options including the new Carminat TomTom®, the first integrated GPS navigation system.

Clio Renaulsport Silverstone GP Limited Edition

Following the recent launch of the flagship 265hp Trophy version of Mégane Renaultsport, its smaller, but no less thrilling, performance sibling, Clio Renaultsport, now welcomes its own top-of-the-range version: the ‘Silverstone GP’ limited edition.

Renault UK has an existing relationship with Silverstone, the country’s most famous motor racing circuit and home of the British Grand Prix, through a fleet of Renaultsport Trackday Experience cars and the venue for several of the performance division’s trackdays, so it was only natural that the French marque took it as its latest inspiration.

The new model has been specifically created for the UK market, with only 50 available. The top-of-the-range Clio Renaultsport 200 comes in at £19,995. With a wealth of extra equipment over the standard Renaultsport versions, the Silverstone GP limited edition offers exceptional value for money, as well as added exclusivity.

The car shares the same purposeful stance, honed to grace the Silverstone tarmac. Sitting on lowered Cup Chassis with a striking combination of silver metallic paint and contrasting ‘Deep Black’ details, including 17” alloy wheels, roof and door mirrors. Completing the exclusive look, the new limited edition Renaultsports also feature extra-tinted rear windows and Silverstone GP B-pillar badges inscribed with the new GP circuit map.

On the inside, the new version boasts a unique numbered interior plaque (1-50), Renaultsport Monitor onboard performance tracking system and grey and black Renaultsport carpet mats. Along with Renaultsport Recaro front seats, Bluetooth and multi-functional TunePoint for portable music players.

Track-bred from the outset, owners also receive a free Renaultsport Trackday Experience at Silverstone, usually £175, so that they can explore the full handling and performance potential of their new metal under the expert tuition of a full-qualified Silverstone instructor.
