Nissan Unveils New Look Micra
The Nissan Micra, one of the most successful models in Nissan’s history has undergone a series of styling and quality improvements and enhancements that go well beyond a mid-term facelift.
Although the revised model is based on the popular fourth generation Micra, the new Micra sports a bold look with new front and rear styling in addition to new higher quality interior and technological features.
Nissan has also expanded the level of customisation available on the new Micra which help to boost and broaden the appeal of Nissan’s city car. Options include exterior and interior feature colour choices.
Mot notably are the changes to the exterior of the car with a new front grille, bonnet, wings, headlamps and front bumper which combine for a more dynamic look. A new rear bumper, LED tail lamps and a new infil panel at the rear finish the new look strongly.
Not only that but the new Micra also sports newly designed alloy wheels available in 15-inch or as a machine finished 16-inch option. New paintwork colours help to set the car apart with the introduction of the new pearl metallic Pacific Blue (pictured) as well as a new metallic Platinum Sage.
Inside, the style upgrades continue with a gloss black accents and centre console, textured arm rests and convenient dash-mounted multimedia slots.
New interior technology includes NissanConnect navigation and communication system, which has new features and a larger 5.8-inch screen with chrome finished controls. Advanced features such as Google Send-To-Car and Point of Interest are also incorporated into the new system.
Also available is an advanced parking aid with Parking Slot Measurement which can be adjusted to suit the drivers skill level.
Innovations continue under the bonnet with a new top-of-the-range 1.2-litre direct injection petrol supercharged DIG-S option. New technology enables exceptional performance from the 98bhp engine with as much refinement as diesel economy and emissions from only 95g/km. Automatic stop/start is also featured when the car is stationary.
Impressively all versions of the new Micra DIG-S wear the Nissan PURE-DRIVE badge to signify emissions of less than 120g/km.
There are three models in the new Micra range starting with entry level Visia. Standard features include remote central locking, front power windows, 14-inch wheels and full safety equipment such as ABS and ESP.
The Acenta model is next and adds chrome accents, manual air conditioning, 15-inch wheels, CD player with Bluetooth connectivity and more.
The range-topping Tekna model features automatic air conditioning, NissanConnect, rear paking sensors with Parking Slot Measurement, suede-like upholstery, automatic headlights and more.
Optional features on the Tekna grade include 16-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof and Intelligent Key with start button.
